NUTRIFEST-2019-"RAINBOW FOODS FOR RADIENT HEALTH"

 The Research Centre of Home Science, Fatima College (Autonomous), Madurai organized a special program – Nutrifest 2k19- “Inter Special School Meet” on September 11,2019 in commemoration of the National Nutrition Week.The theme of the Nutrifest 2k19 is ‘Rainbow Foods for Radiant Health’. Around seventy special children from 10 special schools in Madurai were participated.Various events like Nutri-Quiz, Nutri relay, Doll making, colouring art and Fruits and vegetable grouping were organized in collaboration with Bethshan Special School. The competitions organized created awareness on the importance of health and nutrition. Nutri Prince and Nutri Princess was a special event organized for the special children. The children having normal Body Mass Index and haemoglobin were crowned as Nutri Prince and Nutri Princess. Mr.R.Sethurajan, Assistant General Manager, Anamalais Agencies PVT.Ltd., Madurai and Mr.L.Murali Krishnan, Managing Director, Kalyani Associates (P) Ltd., Madurai were the guest of honour for the valedictory programme. They delivered the valedictory address and distributed the prizes for the winners of the competitions. As a token of appreciation a stain steel tiffin box were distributed as a complement sponsored by an alumnae. This special event will be a great event for the intellectually challenged children to exhibit their talents. The programme ended with grand success with active participation of the special children.
