Baking Training-23.07.2016 to 30.07.2016
A seven day training programme on “Baking” was organized by the Department of Home science with Food Biotechnology for the III – UG students from 23/07/2016 to 30/07/2016 in Baking Unit (WEAT), Fatima College, Madurai.
Mr. Balachandran, Trainer on Baking, provided
students hands on experience in various baking techniques and procedures.
During training the students learnt to make bread, puff, sandwich, cakes and
chat preparations.
Through
the programme the students learnt the method of preparation of breads and
different kinds of cakes which would come handy to them in preparing baked
foods to emerge out as effective entrepreneurs in the field of baking. This
training has also been very effective in creating a new interest and desire for
baking which is certainly a distinctive trait of a cook.
